This young and very kind wildlife care giver who recently migrated from Tanzania came to us with a naturally beautiful facial profile, but her smile didn’t reflect that beauty due to multiple conditions. Gummy smile, a condition where too much gum shows when smiling, often making the teeth appear short or hidden. Ideally, a balanced, attractive smile reveals mostly teeth with only a minimal amount of gum tissue showing above the upper teeth.
In her case, nearly half the smile consisted of visible gum, which disrupted the proportions of her otherwise stunning features. In addition to this, she also had white spots (decalcifications) and visible enamel erosion on her front teeth that made her smile appear unhealthy and uneven, discolored with brown patches.
To correct this and create a more harmonious, confident smile, clinical crown lengthening, a precise, gentle procedure that removes excess gum and small amounts of bone to reveal the natural tooth structure was performed. This allowed her smile to become more tooth-dominant, balanced, and esthetically pleasing.
As part of her custom smile makeover, Dr. Sadati used advanced imaging and digital scans to design her new smile, allowing the patient to preview the projected results before any treatment began. We also created lab-processed provisionals using high-quality resin so she could “try on” her future smile and provide feedback along the way.
For the final result, she received a carefully planned combination of Emax veneers and all-ceramic crowns, providing both beauty and strength while preserving as much of her natural tooth structure as possible. This young gentleman presented to Florida Center for Aesthetic Dentistry with a collapsed bite caused by years of grinding and clenching. The loss of vertical dimension had not only affected his function but also compromised the appearance of his smile.
To restore his bite and re-establish a healthy foundation, treatment needed to be completed in carefully planned phases. The process began with orthotic splints, which allowed his jaw muscles to adapt and reprogram gradually to the correct vertical position. Once stability was achieved, Dr. Sam Sadati implemented a comprehensive restorative and surgical plan.
This included extractions, bone grafting, osseous surgery, sinus lifts, and strategically placed dental implants for missing teeth. The final stage involved custom crowns that restored the patient’s bite, function, and aesthetics.

This kind realtor lady came to us feeling unhappy with the look of her smile. She had older, porcelain veneers on her two front teeth that they partially de-bonded resulting in bacteria leaking under them causing discoloration and decaying her natural teeth. In addition, they didn’t blend naturally with the rest of her teeth, and the surrounding teeth were drifting slightly inward, making her smile look narrower. She had excessive gum tissue covering her teeth making her teeth look small. Her gumline was also uneven, with one front tooth appearing shorter than the other, and the edges of her front teeth were chipped and worn, giving her smile an aged appearance.
To restore balance and create a more youthful look, we performed surgical crown lengthening from tooth #5–13 to even out the gumline and improve her gum-to-tooth ratio. After healing and maturation of her gum while she had Provisionals on her teeth, we designed and placed custom veneers from tooth #5–13 and an implant crown on tooth #4. This not only enhanced the symmetry of her smile but also widened her arch, reducing the excess gum display and creating a fuller, more harmonious appearance.
The result is a brighter, more balanced smile that looks both youthful and natural.

This beautiful young lady had completed Invisalign@ treatment to straighten her teeth in another state before she came to our office. She wasn’t fully happy with her smile. Her teeth were naturally small and slightly translucent, with small fractures that made them appear worn. She also had a gummy smile that made her teeth look even shorter.
To create the smile she always wanted, we performed crown lengthening to rebalance her gumline and reveal more tooth structure. Once the healing and maturation of her gum was complete, we designed and placed custom Emax veneers, giving her teeth ideal shape, strength, and brightness. She desired to have her teeth be opaquer without natural translucency.

She presented with enamel erosion on her upper teeth, visible tooth discoloration, and dentin exposure with translucency on the incisal edges. To restore her smile, we first performed gingival recontouring with a laser to carefully reshape the gumline and expose more natural tooth structure. This created the proper foundation for long-lasting restorations.
